Full-time – 32 hours per week
Gorey Hill School is a Special School that provides an appropriate education for students, aged 4 to 18 years old, who have a diagnosis of Autism and complex learning needs or complex learning needs with a professional recommendation for a special school.
The Exceptional Needs Teacher working in a co-teaching role in Gorey Hill School supports students with autism, complex learning needs, and additional educational needs through collaborative, neuroaffirming, and individualised teaching practices. The role focuses on ensuring every student can access meaningful learning opportunities within a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment.
On application for the post, the applicant must meet the following criteria:
- Be fully registered with the Teaching Council under Route 1 (Primary), Route 4 (Other) or Route 2 (Post Primary) with the Teaching Council.
- Experience supporting students with autism and or Moderate or Severe general learning disabilities may be advantageous.
- Experience or interest in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) would be beneficial.
